1.9 Commissioning
Only approved contractors may commission
this equipment and instruct the owner in its
use.
Commission the WPF...M(S) in accordance
with the installation instructions and the
installation and operating instructions of the
WPM II heat pump manager. Our customer
service can assist in the commissioning, which
is chargeable.
After commissioning, the installer should
complete the commissioning report on pages
16 to 18.
Check the following prior to commissioning:
z
Heating system
Was the heating system filled to the
correct pressure, and was the quick-acting
air vent valve opened?
z
Temperature sensor
Were the outside temperature and the
return temperature sensor (in conjunction
with a buffer cylinder) correctly positioned
and connected?
z
Power supply (Triplephase)
Was the mains power supply properly
connected?
The rotational direction at the HP
connection (mains) is correct, if the red
diode on the phase monitoring relay lights
up, when voltage (mains) is applied to the
supply terminals.
If the diode at the phase monitoring relay
stays OFF, then the heat pump will not
start.
Then heat up the system to its maximum
operating temperature and vent again.
!
Observe the maximum system
temperature in underfloor heating
systems.
1.10 Operation and control
A WPM II heat pump manager is required to
operate the heat pump. It regulates the entire
heating system. All necessary adjustments
prior and during operation are made on this
device.
Only qualified contractors must make
adjustments listed in the commissioning
report of the WPM II heat pump manager.
!
Generally, the system does not need
to be shut down during summer, as
the WPM II implements an automatic
summer/winter changeover. Set the WPM II
to standby when the system is taken out of
use. This retains the safety functions
designed to protect the system
(e.g. frost protection).
Drain the water side of the equipment, if the
heat pump is taken out of use at a location
subject to a risk of frost.
Drain the water in the condenser via the fill &
drain valve that becomes accessible after re-
moving the equipment front.
1.11 Maintenance and cleaning
1.11.1 Maintenance
The heat pump operates under automatic
control and requires no specific maintenance.
Where heat meters are installed, frequently
clean their sieves, which block easily.
1.11.2 Cleaning
In case of heat pump faults (e.g. high pressure
limiter trips) through deposits of corrosion
products (rust sludge) inside the condenser,
only dissolving them by means of solvents
used by our customer service will remove this
problem.
