within fuselage matching tabs in catch to

notches at F3a.

Fit and bond Cockpit catch C2 (short) within

fuselage matching tabs in catch to notches at

F3a (immediately below F3b).

Fit the Cockpit and Hatch

Finish Sand Fuselage

☐

Fit Cockpit assembly to fuselage between F2

and F3a. Using a sanding block with fine grit

paper lightly sand cockpit to fit and flow with

fuselage shape.

Fit battery hatch within fuselage between F2

and F3b. Use a sanding block with fine grit

paper to lightly sand Battery Hatch to fit and

flow with fuselage shape.

Now lightly sand fuselage with 400 grit paper

in preparation for covering. Balsa filler may

be required to fill small gaps at notch points

along fuselage sides; this is especially true

where 1/8 in thick lite plywood crutch meets

fuselage sides as the plywood stock thickness

can vary by as much as 20 thousandths!
