Einlernen
der Schalter
- Taster T betätigen -> LED GN blinkt langsam (2 Hz)
- den einzulernenden Schalter/ Befehlsgerät betätigen -> LED OG
leuchtet kurz
- zum Verlassen des Einlern-Modus Taster T ca. 1 s betätigen
-> die LED GN leuchtet
Löschen
eines Schalters
- Taster T für 5 s drücken -> LED GN blinkt schnell (5 Hz)
- zu löschenden Schalter/Befehlsgerät betätigen -> LED OG
leuchtet kurz
aller Schalter
- Taster T für 5 s drücken -> LED GN blinkt schnell (5 Hz)
- Taster T für 5 s erneut drücken bis LED GN erlöscht
- LED GN leuchtet und LED OG leuchtet nicht

Destination and use
The one channel radio receiver is used to switch electrical loads via
radio transmission. The transmission is carried out at a frequency of
868.3 MHz or 915 MHz for USA and Canada. The transmitters must
conform to the Steute Wireless protocol of the LR- and ULR-modules.
The output of the receiver can be switched by a maximum of 10 trans-
mitters. Therefore each transmitter must be taught in once.
Mounting / Wiring
Only suitable antennas must be used. Antenna with 1.5 m cable and
SMA plug-in connector, order No. 1188958 for the 868 MHZ receiver
and with 3.6 m cable and SMA reverse angled connector, order No.
1188987 for the 915 MHz receiver. The antenna should be mounted on
a metal plate of 250 x 250 mm minimum size as an HF counterweight.
The sideways distance to the next adjacent wall or source of distur-
bance should be at least 300 mm. The antenna cable must not be bent
or clamped, minimum bending radius >15 mm.
Design of sensing range
Because radio signals are electromagnetic waves the signal is attenu-
ated on its way from the transmitter to the receiver. This means the
electrical as well as the magnetic field strengths decrease and in fact
inversely proportional to the squared distance of transmitter and re-
ceiver (E,H~1/r²). In addition to this natural restriction of the sensing
range further interference factors occur: Metal parts, e. g. armours in
walls, metal foils of thermal insulations or vapour deposited metal
layer heat protection glass reflect electromagnetic waves. Therefore a
socalled deadspot can be found behind them. Indeed radio waves are
able to penetrate walls but the attenuation increases even more than
in the free field. Penetration of radio waves:
wood, gypsum, glas uncoated
90...100%
brick stone, press boards
65...95%
armoured concrete
10...90%
metal, aluminium lamination
0...10%
sight connection in free field: Long Range LR approx. 450 m
Ultra Long Range ULR approx. 700 m
Notices
The devices can be operated registration- and license-free on the
territory of the EC, Switzerland, Cyprus, Canada and the USA. The
use in other countries must be explicitely clarified!
The electrical
connection may only be carried out by authorised personnel. The radio
receiver must not be used in connection with devices that may directly
or indirectly serve health- or life-saving purposes or cause hazards by
operation to human beings, animals or asset values. The declaration
of conformity is available on request or can be downloaded from our
website. Subject to technical modifications. The described products
have been developed in order to assume safety functions as part of an
entire plant or machine. The responsibility taken by the manufacturer
of a plant or machine implies a safeguarding of correct general func-
tion. Moreover steute does not assume any liability for recommenda-
tions made or implied by this description. From this description new

the general terms and conditions of delivery.
Setting-up operation/Selection of operation mode
Preconditions
- Device is mounted on DIN rail
- Conductors for 24 VAC/DC voltage supply are connected
- A maximum of 10 transmitters can be taught in parallel.
- Therefore the LEDs indicate the operation modes. After providing the
operating voltage to the receiver the orange LED 1 flashes when no
switch has been taught in. If the orange LED 1 is off, switches have
already been taught in.
Selection of operation mode
There are six different operation modes that can be selected after
switch-on.
1. Keep push-button S1 pressed while switching on the receiver.
The desired operation mode is confirmed by quick pressing of the
push-button S1 again, (approx. 1 s). LED display see table. If you
do not press the push-button S1 again the next operation mode is
switched on after 5 s.
2. If the desired operation mode is displayed, press push-button LRN
for 1 s. The desired operation mode is now activated.
