Connect the
Air Source Connector
to the light source of the processor.
8.
Attach the
Pentax OF-G11 Gas adapter
to the endoscope.

Attach the
Endoscope Connector
to the
Pentax OF-G11 Gas adapter

10. Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for the use of
Pentax OF-G11 Gas adapter,
gas line tubings
,
and
CO
2
source/insufflator.
11. Turn on the light source of the processor.
Turn off the Pump/Air when using CO
2
.
12.
Prime the air/water channel prior to insertion of the endoscope into a patient.
If water pressure or insufflation is low, assess the following:
Check to see that the
Lid Cap
is tightly attached to the water bottle (not cocked or cross-threaded).
Check that the
Air Source Connector
is firmly attached to the light source of the processor.
Check that the
Pentax OF-G11 Gas adapter
is firmly attached to the light source of the endoscope
Check that the
Endoscope Connector
is firmly attached to the
Pentax OF-G11 Gas adapter
.
Remove 1/3 of the sterile water from a full sterile water bottle, this will allow for improved water pressure for better insufflation and water flow.
13. Perform CO
2
insufflation and water flow for lens cleaning as described in the Pentax instruction manuals for air/water valve and the endoscope being
used together with a sterile water bottle.
14. If the water bottle needs to be replaced, use proper aseptic technique.
After Procedure is completed
1.
Follow the Pentax manufacturer’s guidelines for purging the air/water channel system when the procedure is completed.
2.
Close the Pinch Clamp and disconnect the
Pentax OF-G11 Gas adapter
from the endoscope. This will prevent water from leaking from the
Endoscope Connector
.
3.
Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for turning off the light source of the processor and CO
2
source when the procedure is completed.
4.
Ensure that the device is discarded within 24 hours after the package has been opened. A label is provided with the device.
5.
The Pentax OF-G11 Gas adapter can be reprocessed per the Manufacturer’s reprocessing instructions.

After use, this product may be a potential biohazard which presents a risk of cross-contamination. Handle and dispose of in accordance with
accepted medical practice and applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
