PASTEURISER START UP INSTRUCTIONS
(For the hospital engineering department or equivalent)
•
First position pasteuriser on a level surface with ventilation areas kept clear, as
shown on the installation drawing page 24. Lower the levelling foot on the castor
by turning the red wheel on the castors, fine adjustment of the level may be
achieved by raising or lowering the levelling foot.
•
Fit spacers as per page 6 of this manual
•
Connect to power as per pages 8-9 in the installation section (ensure correct
power supply & sufficient voltage)
PLEASE NOTE: Voltage must be stable otherwise the
pasteuriser may not run or could cause damage to the pasteuriser invalidating the warranty.
•
Electrical Connection and Surge Protection
•
Damage from electrical transients, or surges, is one of the leading causes of electrical
equipment damage.
•
Please ensure the machine is connected to a ‘clean’ and appropriate power supply and is
surge protected to avoid damage.
•
Please consult with an electrician for advice suited to your operation and conditions.
•
Create a folder for the milk bank, for them to save their graphs to file
•
Advise milk bank of exact location of this folder and any possible passwords
•
Run a Fridge Test (see maintenance section- probe calibration page 43 point 12)
as per instructions before running a cycle. This gets the chiller working properly
after transi
t. If this isn’t done the machine may fault on the first cycle. (please note
there will be a bang noise on start-up if the equipment has not been used for some
time refrigeration gases form a small liquid drop and on start-up this is coughed
out making a bang noise)
•
Check water levels are set correctly (see maintenance section 39 & 40 of this
manual)
•
Run a minimum of 1 test cycle with a full load before putting machine into
operation and forward the graph of this cycle to Sterifeed ([email protected])
for a health check. See operator manual pages 19-22
•
Place the thermometer near the machine to monitor the temperature and place the
warning poster above the pasteuriser.
Note: Please be advised results may vary according to site conditions; minor
adjustments to the settings may be required.
