MAINTENANCE GUIDE
General
The pasteuriser will require little maintenance, however the following
Checks should be made every six months.

Check the lids to ensure it sits correctly when closed. Check that the
seal is in good condition. Replace the seal if necessary.

Check the lids magnets for superficial damage. Change if necessary.

Remove left hand side panel. Check all water clamps for tightness.
Look for signs of water leakage on the base of the unit.

Check pump for wear and leakage. Replace if necessary.

Ensure the mains electrical supply is turned off. Check the heater bottle
for leakage; check the electrical connections for tightness.

Follow the level switch calibration procedure (next section) to check the
level settings.

Clean condenser fins. Make sure there is no wiring which can get
caught in the condenser fan.

Check all electrical connections for tightness.

Replace the front and left hand panels. Turn on the unit. Place a
calibrated thermometer probe in the bath next to the control probe.
Start a cycle. Check the displayed temperature against the calibrated
instrument during sequence 3. If necessary modify the calibration value
on the temperature controller. See probe calibration section of the of
maintenance manual

During Chilling check that the chiller turns off when it reaches 3
C
adjust the set point if necessary
While the chiller is running check that there is warm air being blown out
of the rear of the unit.
Check that there is no bubbling in the sight glass.
If there are any problems with the chiller a refrigeration engineer will
need to be called out. Refer to the section water refrigeration system.
