TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

weld with the presence of splashes, increase the ARC TRIM value; vice versa for welds
in which the wire tends to stick and burns with difficulty, decrease the ARC TRIM value.
6) Regulating the BURN BACK time –
Pressing the bb button (ref.9 page 9) selects the
wire BURN BACK time function. The right-hand display (ref.7 page 9) will start to blink
indicating the letters bb; with the V/SET encoder (ref.8 page 9) you can regulate the
value from 0.5 to 100 ms
To view the set value at any time, briefly press the bb button.
The BURN BACK consists of a delay in switching off the welding arc with respect to the
stopping of the wire feeding device. When the value is set at 50 the wire feeding device
stops at the same time the arc goes out. For high welding currents it is advisable to set
the value at 50 (make a few tests).
Incorrect regulation of this parameter may lead to:
BURN BACK too low: at the end of welding the piece of wire protruding from the torch is
too long; it is therefore difficult to resume welding.
BURN BACK too high: at the end of welding the piece of wire protruding from the torch is
too short and in extreme cases the wire may stick to the current supply pipe.
7) Regulating the post-gas time - Pressing the PG button (ref.11 page 9) selects the post
-gas time. The right-hand display (ref.7 page 9) will start to blink, indicating the letters
PG; with the V/SET encoder (ref.8 page 9) you can regulate the value from 0.1 to 12.5
seconds.
To view the set value at any time, briefly press the PG button.
8) Gas PURGE function from the generator –
Pressing the PURGE button (ref.12 page
9) directly enables the gas output electrovalve to make the gas come out of the torch.
8a) Gas PURGE function from the wire feeder -Pressing the PURGE button (ref.39 page
10) directly enables the gas output electrovalve to make the gas come out of the torch.
9) INCH wire advance function from the generator - Pressing the INCH button (rif.13
pag.9) enables the motor of the wire feeding device; the wire is immediately made to
advance slowly for two seconds, after which the speed increases. The purpose of this
function is to make the wire run inside the torch in the welding preparation phase.
9a) INCH wire advance function from the wire feeder - Pressing the INCH button (rif.40
pag.11) enables the motor of the wire feeding device; the wire is immediately made to
advance slowly for two seconds, after which the speed increases. The purpose of this
function is to make the wire run inside the torch in the welding preparation phase.
