2. General safety precautions
Disconnect the power supply
before attempting any work on
the unit.
• During installation, the electric power
cable being connected must not be
live. Therefore, switch off the power
first and use a voltage tester to make
sure the wiring is off-circuit.
• Installing the sensor involves work
on the mains power supply. This
work must therefore be carried out
professionally in accordance with
national wiring regulations and
electrical operating conditions.
• Only use genuine replacement parts.
• Repairs may only be made by
specialist workshops.
3. True Presence
®
/Hallway
Proper use
– Sensor for ceiling mounting indoors
The Sensor True Presence DALI 2
Application Controller is also equipped
with "True Presence" technology which
detects the presence of persons. The
detection zone of the sensor can be
precisely limited by app.
The Sensor True Presence DALI 2
Application Controller is a high-frequency
sensor with a perfect detection zone for
corridors. The reach and sensitivity can
be adjusted for both directions via app.
Certification:
This is certified in accordance with
IEC 62386-103 as a single-master
application controller. This means that
its DALI-2 certification only covers
applications in which only DALI ECGs
("control gear") are connected to the
DALI bus. We furthermore guarantee that
the presence detector is also suitable
for use in multi-master applications with
DALI 2 buttons and selected DALI 2 input
devices for extending the detection zone.
At this points we expressly point out that
no DALI-2 certification is available for
using the product in a DALI bus system
with several control devices
UP: concealed version
AP: surface-mounted version
Cable length between sensor and button
< 50 m.

5. Installation
• Check all components for damage.
• Do not use the product if it is damaged.
• Select an appropriate mounting
location, taking the reach and pres-
ence detection into consideration.
(Fig. 3.13/3.14)
• Aim sensor in appropriate direction.
Hallway
Mounting procedure

4. Electrical connection
The mains supply lead is a multiple-core
cable (max. conductor Ø 2.5 mm):
L
= Phase conductor (usually black
or brown)
N
= Neutral conductor (usually blue)
PE
= Protective-earth conductor
(usually green/yellow)
S1
= Switch
DA+
= Connection to the DALI BUS
DA-
= Connection to the DALI BUS
Important:
Incorrectly wired connections
will produce a short circuit later on in the
product or fuse box. In this case, you
must identify the individual cables and
re-connect them.
