Sling angles
Sling angle - the angle measured between the vertical line and the leg. This angle has a
huge impact on the rated capacity of the sling. As the angle of inclination increases, so
does the load on each leg. This principle applies whether a single sling is used for angled
pulling, in a basket hitch, or in a multi-strand sling. Data in the table applies only to
equally loaded sling legs. Sling angles greater than 60 degrees are not recommended.
