These power tools are supplied from singlephase alternating current mains only. They
are double insulated according to EN 60745-1, IEC 60745-1 and can be connected to
grounded or not grounded sockets. This power tool is radio suppressed in compliance
with EMC Directive.
This power tool is designed for rectilinear and curve cutting of steel, aluminium, non-
ferrous metal and plastics sheets. Refer to the T
echnical specications table for the
maximum thickness of material to be cut.
PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION
•
Make sure the power supply voltage corresponds to the value indicated on the name
plate with technical data of the tool.
•
Always check the position of ON/OFF switch. The power tool must be connected to
the power supply socket only when this switch is in OFF position. If the plug is con-
nected to a receptacle while the power switch is in the ON position, the power tool will
start operating immediately, which could cause a serious accident.
•
Make sure that the cord and the plug are in order. If the replacement of the supply
cord is necessary, this has to be done by the manufacturer or his agent in order to
avoid a safety hazard.
WARNING!
Always switch off and unplug the power tool prior to any adjustment, servicing
or maintenance.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
Switching on/ off
Switching on:
push the ON/OFF switch (2) forward to the gear case , until its front
end will sag, thus xing itself .
Switching off:
press the back lifted end of the ON/OFF switch (2) and release it to
move back in its initial position.
Additional nozzle
This tool also has additional nozzle for curve cutting. For disassmebly, unscrew the
screw (4) and pull off the nozzle with spanner (16 mm).
WORK ADVICE
- Fasten the material to be cut to the work table. Push the slider of the ON/OFF switch
(2) forward to switch the machine on.
CAUTION:
Never feed the nibbler into the material being cut if the motor is not rotating.
- Hold the tool vertically to the surface of the machined material during operation.
- Tilting the machine in any direction is not recommended and it shall decrease the
efciency
, besides the die might be damaged.
- For curve cutting with small arc radius, it is necessary to rotate the machine gently in
order to avoid bending and deformation of the die.
- T
o begin cutting in the centre of the material, rst make a round opening for the die to
be inserted into.
- Coat the cutting line with machine oil to increase the punch and die service life and
cutting speed.
- To cut steel sheet, use machine oil, used for machining metals.
- To cut Aluminium and non-ferrous metals, use mixture of naphtha and turpentine with
7:3 ratio. Lubricate the die and punch with machine oil every 10 min of operation.
- Excessive fast feeding of the nibbler shall result in considerable overloading the
die, punch and motor.
- Quality cuts can be achieved until the punch cutting edge is sharp enough. The worn
punch shall be replaced with a new one. Replace the worn die and punch in due time.
CAUTION:
The die and punch must not be reground.
CAUTION:
Disengage the cutting head from the material while the motor is still running.
Otherwise the punch may be damaged.
•
Clean the tool regularly with moist cloth and soft soap (remove dust, splinters, etc.).
Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your tool.
•
To ensure constant air circulation, always keep the air vent slits clean and free of
blockage.
•
Inspect all mountings and screws and ensure they are properly tightened.
•
Maintain the tool only in authorized service dealers.
Replacing the die and the punch guide (Fig. B)
Using the 3mm hex key loosen the inner hex screws (4), xing the down- blade
block (5) and the up-blade block (3). Clean the contact surfaces of the blade part (2).
