8.1.1 - Adjusting the Tornado 600MD to fertilize 2 rows
Example:
The goal is to distribute 50 grams of granular fertilizer per coffee tree:
- The coffee was planted with a spacing of 4 meters between rows and 1.5
meters between plants;
- If the tractor works at 6km/h = 6000 meters in 60 minutes = 100 meters per
minute;
- After every 100 meters traveled, 66 plants will be fertilized on either side,
or be it, 132 plants total;
- We want to place 50 grams per plant, thus, in 1 minute the result should be:
With the conductor device for row distribution already attached on the
Tornado 600MD, ajust the lever stop to a position which will correspond to 6.6
kg/min. Next, verify this rate following these procedures:
- Operate the implement with atleast 30 kgs of fertilizer in the reservoir;
- Using sacks, collect the product ejected in 1 minute, on both exits;
- Use this opportunity to check if both sides are ejecting the same quantities;
- Weigh the total amount of product collected. It should weigh 6.6 kg.
Should the product quantity collected be different from the 6.6 kg, adjust the
lever stop for more or less according to your situation, and test again.
8.2 - Larger Agitator (Christmas Tree)
The larger agitator accessory is used solely on powdered products.
Example:
dry limestone, organic fertilizers and humid urea.
The function of this device is to maintain the product in the reservoir loose,
so that the flow rates remain constant and uniform during the job.
The components used on the agitator, are mounted according to Figure 17.
