device and can lead to property damage and personal
injury.
Maintenance after 10-15 hours of operation
• Lubricate the gear housing of the hedge cutter by
spraying one or two strokes of lithium grease with a
grease gun with hand lever into the gearbox housing.
See A 55. Caution: Excessive lubrication can result in
stiff movement of the gearbox and the discharge of
grease.

1. Lubrication point of the transmission housing
Maintenance after 50 operating hours After every
50 hours of operation (more often in dusty and dirty
environments):
• Remove and clean the cylinder cover and remove dirt
and debris from the cooling fins of the cylinder.
• Lubricate the transmission housing.
Long-term storage
If the device is not used for 30 days or longer, prepare it
as follows for storage:
• Clean all external components and apply a thin film of
oil on all metal surfaces.
Caution: If there is petrol over a longer period of time in
the carburettor, there can be a hard start and increased
service and maintenance costs.
• Drain the fuel from the carburetor and from the fuel
tank completely.
• Remove the spark plug and pour about 3 ml of oil
into the cylinder through the spark plug holder. Pull the
reversing starter 2 to 3 times slowly, so that the oil can
distribute evenly in the engine. Insert the spark plug
again.
• Before storing the device, you need to replace worn or
damaged components. Put on the blade cover.
• Remove the air cleaner from the carburetor and clean
it thoroughly with soap and water. Rinse and dry it
thoroughly. Pour a few drops of oil on the air cleaner and
distribute it. Mount the air cleaner again.
• Store the device in a clean, dust-free place.
Caution:
Do not remove the D-shaped compensating disk before
the transmission housing is clamped! The compensating
disk prevents damage by an excessive tightening of the
clamping screw.
1. Loosen the clamping screw of the transmission
housing.
2. Remove the index bolt from the transmission housing.

3. Remove the transmission housing from the tube. Use
a grease gun and pump lithium grease (approx. 10 g) into
the lubrication hole of the gearbox housing till the old
grease exits from the transmission housing (A 56). This
grease exits into the cavity of the outer tube. Remove
excess grease and insert the transmission housing back
into the outer tube. Make sure that the index bolt is
snapped into place into the locking of the outer tube.
Tighten both screws.
