PURPOSE OF THIS MANUAL

This manual has been prepared to assist in the preparation, use and care of the 30000-0 Setaflash Closed-
Cup flash point tester.

This manual is not intended to replace the appropriate Test Methods, which should be consulted to ensure
full compliance with the requirements.

EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION

The model number and serial number of the instrument are marked on an identity plate mounted on the
rear of the instrument. The power supply voltage and frequency are also shown. This information must be
quoted in any technical query, or when ordering accessories and spare parts.

This manual is only applicable to the Setaflash model 30000-0 with version 2 or higher software installed.
Instruments with pre version 2 software are covered in publication number 30000H0E dated 5 July 2002.

If version 2 or higher software is installed, the software version number will be displayed momentarily when
the tester is switched on. The version number will not be displayed on instruments with pre version 2
software installed.

The serial number and software version must be quoted in any technical query, or when ordering
accessories and spare parts.
