Transmitting a DSC Distress Alert with Nature of Distress
The
GX2200E
is capable of transmitting a DSC distress alert with the follow-
ing “Nature of Distress” categories:
Undesignated, Fire, Flooding, Collision, Grounding, Capsizing, Sinking,
Adrift, Abandoning, Piracy, MOB
1. Press the

menu will appear on the display.
4. Press the
soft key, then
rotate the
CH
knob to select the desired nature of distress cate-
gory.
Nature of distress categories: Fire, Flood, Colli-
sion, Grounding, Capsizing, Sinking, Adrift, Aban-
doning, Piracy, and MOB.
5. Press the
soft key.
6. Perform the steps 1 through 5 of the basic opera-
tion described in the previous section.
