loudspeaker. Failing this, check the microphone for proper con-
nection and turn the outer control

set to its leftmost position.

Channel configuration
The stabo xm 5003 features three different channel configurations.
Prior to using the radio set, one of the adjustments has to be
selected.
The
d
configuration is programmed when the radio set is still in
delivery state.
80 FM channels / 40 AM channels
This configuration is permitted in Germany only.
40 FM channels / 40 AM channels
40 FM channels
The selected channel configuration is indicated at the bottom right
of the display.
Changing the configuration
For changing the configuration, please proceed as follows:
Switch the radio set off.
Hold the
F
key pressed and switch on the radio set anew.
The formerly selected channel configuration flashes now on
the display.
Use the channel selection keys
s
or
t
to select one of the
three configurations (
d
,
EU
, or
EC
).
Press the
F
key anew until a beep sound and the display stops
flashing.
Switch the radio set off and on again.
The new channel configuration is now indicated at the bottom right
of the display and the radio set is ready for operation using the
new channel configuration.
In Germany, this radio set is free of charge and can be operated
with each channel configuration without any registration.
Before using your radio set abroad, make yourself familiar with
the applicable regulations for the respective countries and consider
a possible compulsory registration.

is pressed for more than half a second, the Auto Repeat function
