Battery save mode
The battery save mode is automatically activated if no action (keystro-
ke/receiving) takes place within 10 seconds.
Battery low indication
If the capacity of the batteries is too low bALo is blinking every second.
Now you have to charge/replace the batteries.
Key lock
As a protection against faulty operation you can lock the keyboard
(with the exception of the PTT, call tone and MON keys).
Activate/deactivate key lock
Push the key for 2 sec., a double beep tone sounds and is
displayed.
To deactivate the key lock function you push again the
key for
2 sec., a double beep tone sounds and is no longer displayed.
Display lighting
A short stroke on the MON key activates the display lighting for approx.
10 sec.
Monitor function
You may bypass the automatic squelch so that you can also hear weak
signals.
Keep the MON key pressed for 2 sec. the squelch is bypassed until
you release the key again.
Press the MON key for 5 sec. permits to bypass the squelch perma-
nently, as confirmation a double beep tone sounds. You switch on the
squelch once again by pushing the MON key.
