Automatic scan
The automatic scan permits to find active channels quickly. It scans
independently all of the 8 channels and stops as soon as a signal
exceeds the squelch threshold. It will start anew, if no signal is available.
Notes:
The direction of scanning can be changed by means of the
channel
s
/
t
key. If the scan function is active the VOX function
cannot be used.
Activate scanning
Push the menu key five times, the selected channel number and
SC
are blinking.
Start the scan by means of the channel
s
/
t
key.
Deactivate scanning
To deactivate scanning you push the
key,
SC
is no longer displayed.
CTCSS scan
The CTCSS scan permits to check if one of the CTCSS codes is used
on the adjusted channel. The scan stops for 5 sec. as soon as a signal
is found: pushing the PTT key now permits to enter into the dialog,
the radio set automatically transmits the CTCSS code which has been
identified.
Activate CTCSS scan
Push the menu key six times; the selected CTCSS number,

Deactivate CTCSS scan
To deactivate scanning you push the

but the CTCSS code which has been received last.
Dual Watch function
If you wish to be ready-to-receive on both channels instead of only
one channel, you require the dual watch function. With this function
the radio set automatically changes every 0.5 sec. from the actual
channel to any second channel (preferred channel). If a signal is
received on one of the two channels the radio stops for about 5 sec.,
before it returns to the other channel.
