eBike Ready
SQlab products bearing the „eBike Ready“ rating are suitable for use on pedelecs from the point of view of function, ergonomics and
operational stability (in accordance with the standards DIN EN ISO 4210 and DIN EN ISO 15194).
A component exchange of the Innerbarends® on fast pedelecs, so­called S­Pedelec, which are classified as motor vehicles and are sub­
ject to EU Directive 2002/24/E6 or EU Regulation No. 168/2013, is not possible based on the guideline „Component exchange at S­Pe­
delecs ­ fast e­bikes / pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 45 km/h“ of the associations Zweirad­ Industrie­ Verband (ZIV ) and Verbund
Service und Fahrrad (VSF) in cooperation with the Zedler­Institut and the Bundesinnungsverband Fahrrad (BIV).

Exchange of the Innerbarends® on Pedelec45
E­bikes and pedelecs with CE mark and pedal assistance up to 25 km/h are covered by the Machinery Directive, therefore components of
these bicycles may not be easily exchanged or modified. In order to clarify the situation, a guideline for replacing E­bike/Pedelec 25 parts
has been jointly released by the associations Zwerad­Industrie­Verband (ZIV) and Verbund Service und Fahrrad (VSF) in cooperation with
the Zedler­Institut and the Bundesinnungsverband Fahrrad (BIV).
What bicycle dealers and workshops are allowed to modify on these vehicles and for which components they need to obtain the approval
of the vehicle manufacturers or the system provider, is clearly regulated by guidelines and can therefore be used as a recommendation
for action.
An exchange of the Innerbarends® on Pedelec25 is possible on the basis of the recommendation for action „Guidelines for the exchange
of components with CE­marked E­bikes/pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h“ (https://www.zedler.de/files/kunde/prueftech­
nik/PDF/Leitfaden_Bauteiletausch_Stand_14­06­2016­2.pdf) of the associations Zweirad­Industrie­Verband (ZIV) and Verbund Service
und Fahrrad
(VSF) in cooperation with the Zedler­Institut and the Bundesinnungsverband Fahrrad (BIV), provided that they are forward facing and the
load distribution is not seriously changed.

The SQlab Innerbarends® are designed for
the assembly on standard bicycle handle­
bars, with a handle clamping diameter of
22.2 mm.
Warning
As a result of non­matching Hand­
lebar and innerbar end tolerances it
may come that, the innerbarends can
not be adequately secured to prevent
twisting and lateral movement. In
case of problems please contact your
SQlab dealer.

warnings, provided by your handle­
bars mounting and operating instruc­
tions.
