3. Principle and Precautions
3.1 Measuring Principle
The principle behind the Oximeter is as follows: An empirical data processing formula was drawn up according
to the Lambert Beer Law as per the Spectrum Absorption Characteristics of Reductive Hemoglobin (Hb)
and Oxyhemoglobin (HbO
2
) in glow & near-infrared zones. The instrument operates as follows: Photoelectric
Oxyhemoglobin Inspection Technology is adopted in accordance with Capacity Pulse Scanning & Recording
Technology, so that two beams of different light wavelengths can be focused onto a human nail tip through a
perspective finger-type clamp sensor. The measured signal is obtained by a photosensitive element and the
information thus acquired is shown on a screen after processing by electronic circuits and a microprocessor.
