Important Safety Instructions
4. Make sure that there is adequate ventilation in the work area.
5. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating this unit.
6. Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away while operating this unit.
7. Turn unit off and relieve pressure in the hoses when done.
8. Do not use while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
9. Do not overreach or stand on unstable support. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times.
10. Do not use the unit if it does not operate properly or has been damaged. Do not try to
service the unit yourself — call SpeedClean for assistance. Service must be performed only
by qualified repair personnel. Service performed by unqualified personnel could result in a
risk of injury and voids the warranty.
11. Empty container completely before lifting of any kind, this will prevent spillage and
lighten unit.
12. Always turn machine off after use.
13. Do not spray the BucketDescaler
®
with water or chemicals.
14. Do not use water with a temperature of more than 130°F (55°C).
15. Use only approved accessories and replacement parts.
16. Never let the main pump run dry. This may damage the seals of the pump.
17. Follow maintenance procedures outlined in this manual.
18. The lid does not seal, it has openings to vent pressure build up from gases.
CAUTION:
Wear rubber gloves, rubber boots, and splash resistant chemical goggles. Descaling
chemicals may cause injuries to the eyes and skin. Protect yourself from direct skin contact with
the chemicals and debris found in the descaling environment.
WARNING
: Do not overfill the bucket. Maximum fill ring is on the inlet hose on the underside
of the gray lid — black plastic ring about half way up on the inlet hose with the black strainer.
If the BucketDescaler
®
is lower than the equipment being cleaned:
In the event of power
failure to the unit, the head (height) of water in the equipment would cause the liquid level in
the descaling pump tank to rise and overflow and possibly cause property damage, unless
prevented by closing the valves on the unit being cleaned.
WARNING:
Don’t assume chemical compatibility — if a chemical other than Speedclean’s
SpeedyBright
®
is used you must ensure that the chemical will not damage the internal
components (pump, plumbing, valves, etc) of the unit. A full chemical compatibility check
must be done first. Call Speedclean to check compatibility before using any chemical other
than Speedclean’s
SpeedyBright
®
in the BucketDescaler
®
. Mixing incompatible chemicals
may cause damage to the unit or cause dangerous, life-threatening chemical reactions.
ALWAYS flush the pump with water after use or before changing chemicals.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electrocution keep all connections dry and off the ground. Do
not touch plug with wet hand. The cords, wires, and/or cables supplied with this product may
contain chemicals, including lead or lead compounds, known to the State of California to
cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Always wash hands after using.
