I n st a l l a t i o n

2.6.2

Installation

To install the

QuadPlex

application on the remote PC:

Connect and power on your

QuadPlex

devices, and then verify that all devices have been

discovered by the network. If needed, contact your network administrator for help.

Verify that all of the

QuadPlex

devices can by reached from the remote PC by opening a

command prompt and then executing a

ping <device_ip_address>

command for each

QuadPlex

device, where

<device_ip_address>

is the IP address of either a standalone

QuadPlex

unit or a

QuadPlex

PCIe card.

Either download the

QuadPlex

.msi

installer to the remote PC or insert a drive containing this

file into the remote PC.

Double-click the installer icon.

The

Welcome

window appears.

Click

Next

The

End-User License Agreement

window appears.

Read the license, then check the

I accept the terms...

checkbox, and then click

Next

The

Destination Folder

window appears.

Decide whether or not to create a desktop shortcut for the application by either checking or

clearing the

Do you want to create a Desktop shortcut?

radio button, and then either:



Click

Next

to accept the default installation folder.



Enter a new path to a custom installation folder in the field, and then click

Next



Click

Change

to browse to the desired installation folder, and then click

Next

The

Ready to install

QuadPlex

window appears.

Either:



Click

Install

to finish the installation.



Click

Back

to go back to review/change your installation settings.



Click

Cancel

to exit without installing the

QuadPlex

application.
