• Connect the inputs INPUT1 and INPUT2 with the outputs on your AV source devices (e.g. DVD
player and video recorder).
• Connect the outputs OUTPUT1, 2, 3 and 4 with the inputs on your television sets or recording
devices.
• Plug the low-voltage plug of the power supply unit into DC12V connection socket.
Operation
• Plug the power supply unit into a wall socket and set the ON/OFF switch at the rear of the
device to the I position.
• Switch your television sets or recording devices to the AV programme slot (see the operating
instructions of the devices concerned). The recording function must be started on any record-
ing devices as well.
• Start playback on the AV source device.
• Select the desired input with the INPUT SELECT switch. Which input is active can be seen at
the two control indicator lights AV1 and AV2
• To switch over to the other AV source device, simply press the INPUT SELECT switch so that
the corresponding indicator light AV1 or AV2 lights up.
• Set the ON/OFF switch at the rear of the device to the O position again to switch the device
off.
• Pull out the plug-in power adapter from the mains socket if the device is not to be used for
longer periods.
Care and maintenance
Except for replacing the batteries, the AV distributing amplifier needs no servicing, and requires
no further maintenance except for occasional cleaning with a soft, dry cloth.
Disposal
Dispose of the product at the end of its service life in accordance with the current
statutory regulations.

Item-No. 35 20 01
Intended use
The AV distributing amplifier is used to connect the inputs and outputs of audio-visual devices
(AV devices) with one another and to amplify the video signals.
It is only approved for connection to the audio and video inputs and outputs of appropriate AV
devices.
Only the delivered power supply unit may be used to power the unit. The power supply unit has
only been approved for connection to 230 V / 50 Hz alternating current.
Use is permitted only in closed rooms, do not use outdoors. Contact with humidity, e.g. in damp
rooms, must be avoided at all times.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and to the risk of
short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be altered or modified, and the housing must not be opened.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.
Safety instructions
The warranty / guarantee will be rendered invalid for damage caused by non-
compliance with these operating instructions. We shall not be liable for any
consequential loss.
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such
cases, the warranty / guarantee is rendered invalid for any damage that may
arise.
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important information in these
operating instructions which is to be strictly followed.
• For safety- and certification reasons (CE), any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to
the product is not permitted.
• The power supply unit has been constructed according to protection class II and may only be
operated on a public power supply outlet.
• Never replace the power supply unit’s connecting cable if it becomes damaged. If the con-
necting cable is damaged, the power supply unit is useless and must be disposed of. Repair
is not permitted.
• To disconnect it completely from the mains, the power supply unit must be pulled out of the
mains socket.
• The manufacturers’ safety instructions for the devices to be connected must also be observed.
Read the operating instructions through carefully.
• The device is not a toy and should be kept away from children.
• Never pour out liquids above electrical appliances and never leave objects filled with liquid
(e.g. vases) on top or nearby. There is a very high risk of fire or of electrocution. Should such
an event nevertheless occur, immediately disconnect the power plug from the mains socket
and summon expert assistance.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong vibration or
heavy mechanical loads.
• Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles on or near the device.
• Do not use the device in a tropical climate.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around. It could be dangerous for children.
• Contact a specialist if you have any doubt about how the equipment functions, its safety or how
to connect it.
• If questions arise which are not clarified within these operating instructions, please contact our
technical support or another specialist.
Functional description
Using the AV distributing amplifier you can view the signal from an AV device on up to four tel-
evision sets simultaneously, or you can record the signal by connecting suitable recording
devices. In addition, the AV distributing amplifier has two switchable inputs. This means that
connection cables need not be constantly plugged out and in again.
The integrated video amplifier ensures the picture is free from interference.
The connection sockets are gold-plated to improve the safety of the contacts..
Connection
Only connect devices with cinch AV connections to the cinch AV sockets.
If your devices do not have the necessary inputs or outputs, please use suit-
able adapters.
For cabling, use only suitable, isolated cinch AV cables. If you are in any
doubt, consult a specialist.
For the suitability of the input and output wiring, please read the operating
instructions of the devices to be connected.
Please note that ignoring the above may result in damage to the AV distribut-
ing amplifier or the attached equipment.
Switch off the devices to be connected before connecting them to the sockets.
Do not turn them on again until you have made all necessary connections and
re-checked them.
Proceed in a similar manner if you are making changes to the wiring of the
device.
