Connection
a) General notes
• First turn off all the devices you wish to connect.
• Use a Cat 5e or Cat 6 network cable with a length of up to 50 m.
• The included IR transmitter and receiver make it possible for IR signals to be transmitted per
network cable from the receiver to the transmitter.
This permits you to continue use of the IR remote control of your playback device (e.g.
Blu-ray player) although the playback device is no longer in view of the IR remote control.
• Thanks to the oblong screw holes, the transmitter and receiver can be mounted to a wall if
required.
b) Receiver
• Connect a monitor or projector to the HDMI Out socket (6).
• Connect the jack plug of the large IR receiver to the IR In socket (1). Place the IR receiver
with the front side with the semitransparent cover facing you.
After making sure it is functioning properly, you can mount the IR receiver using the
included adhesive strip.
• Connect one end of the network cable to the CAT socket (3).
c) Transmitter
• Connect a playback device (e.g. Blu-ray player) to the HDMI In socket (12).
• If required, connect a monitor or projector to the HDMI Out socket (14). The HDMI input
signal is looped through.
• Connect the jack plug of the small IR transmitter to the IR Out socket (7). Place the IR
transmitter with the rounded tip facing the playback device.
After making sure it is functioning properly, you can mount the IR transmitter using
the adhesive strip on the back.
• Connect the other end of the network cable to the CAT socket (9).
• Connect the power adaptor’s hollow plug to the DC5V socket (11).
Operation
• Connect the power adapter to a common household wall socket. Both operation indicators
(2, 8) light up.
• Turn on your playback device (e.g. Blu-ray player).
• Turn on your monitor/projector.
• Start playback.
• The connection indicator (10) lights up when connection to the HDMI source is made.
• The signal indicator (4) lights up when the receiver receives a stable HDMI signal from the
transmitter.
EDID
EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) is a data structure to describe the
capabilities of a display. These capabilities are transferred to the HDMI source so
the HDMI source can set itself to the properties of your monitor.
• Switch the EDID switch (13) to the left to transfer the properties of the monitor connected to
the receiver to the source.
• Switch the switch to the right to transfer the properties of the monitor connected to the
transmitter to the source.
DIP switches
If the monitor flickers, you can adjust the image quality according to the length of the network
cable using the DIP switches EQ (5).

You may also troubleshoot this problem by adjusting the image refresh rate via your
monitor’s menu. Start with the lowest rate and increase it until the desired image
quality is reached.
Elimination of malfunctions
No image
• Turn on all devices.
• Check all cable connections.
• Select the correct input on your television.
• Use high-quality HDMI cables.
• Disconnect the transmitter from the power supply for a few seconds.
Playback device does not respond to the IR remote control
• Place the IR transmitter and receiver at another location and/or align them differently.
• The product is incompatible with the IR transmission protocol used by your IR remote control.
• Push and hold the button on your IR remote control longer than usual.
Cleaning and care
• Before cleaning, disconnect the product from the connected devices and unplug the power
adapter from the power outlet.
• There are no components located inside the product you need to maintain. Never open/
dismantle the product.
• Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
• To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. Do not apply too much pressure
to the housing as this may cause scratch marks.
• You can easily remove dust using a long-haired, soft and clean brush.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance
with applicable regulatory guidelines.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
