O P E R A T I O N
Operation Overview
To complete a typical operation, the operator
does the following:
1. Cleans and examines workpiece to make
sure it is suitable for buffing
2. Selects appropriate polishing compound and
buffing wheel
3. Ensures that variable-speed dial is turned
all the way counterclockwise and ON/OFF
switch is in OFF position
4. Connects machine to power
5. Puts on personal protective equipment
6. Stands aside, starts machine, adjusts
speed, then applies polishing compound and
gradually feeds workpiece into wheel
7. Stops machine once buffing operation is
complete
