Calibrating
Main Table Tilt
To calibrate main table tilt:
1. DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2. Remove sanding belt.
3. Set one edge of 90
°
square on main table
surface and other edge against face of platen,
as shown in Figure 57.
For best sanding results, ensure the table angle
is calibrated correctly. If calibrated correctly, the
scale should read 0
°
when perpendicular to the
sanding belt.

4. Adjust main table angle until perpendicular
to face of platen.
— If tilt scale reads 0 ° when main table is
perpendicular to platen, no calibration is
required.
— If tilt scale does not read 0 ° when main
table is perpendicular to platen, proceed
to Step 5.
5. Loosen scale pointer button head cap screw
(see Figure 58), adjust pointer to 0
°

tighten screw.

Check accuracy with 90
°
square before
installing sanding belt.
