Note on - Ifpreferred,
the ON/OFF buttons on the console
can output
MIDI

and

note off commands
rather than continuous controllers.
This means that the
console can playback mute mixes from other Soundtracs
consoles and also reduces the usage of continuous control-
lers.
To enable the use of note ons:
1. Select MIDI from the set up menu and press ENTER.
2. Select the Note on tx option.
3. Press the right cursor key
4. Select ON with the dial and press ENTER.
Timecode
The Solo Logic uses MIDI Timecode (MTC) as the timing
signaL MTC can be generated
by
the Solo Logic or gener-
atcd by some external device such as a sequencer or a tape
machine with the correct interface box. If the Solo Logic is
generating the code then it is the master. If external equip-
ment is generating the MTC then the Solo Logic is the slave.
When the Solo Logic is the master, the timecode option
allows you to decide what type of code is generated and
which MIDI outputs the timecode is to be sent to. When the
Solo Logic is the slave you can choose which is the input
MIDI port and also choose to send MTC to the other MillI
port.

Source - the source of the MTC can be either internal, MIDI
port 1 or MIDI port 2. The source is selected as follows:
1. Select Timecode
from the set up menu and p'ress EN-
TER.
2. Select the SOURCE option using the rotary diaL
3. Press the right cursor key
4. Select INT, MIDI I or MIDI 2 with the rotary dial
5. Press'ENTER
to keep the setting or EXIT to lose the
setting.
