Re-recording faders
If you have recorded fader moves which are completely
wrong
it will
be difficult to correct them using trim mode.
In this case
it
is sensible to fe-record the fader moves from
scratch.
To fe-record faders press the fader REC button on the
required channel.
The RED LED will light to show that
the channel is in record mode.
When a channel is in record mode and timecode is running
aU previous fader data will be erased if the mix is kept.
Re.recording can begin at any point in the mix,
it
is not
necessary to return to the beginning of the mix or run to
the end of the mix.
Any number of faders can be put into record mode at any
time.
Fader nulling
If a fader is dropped into record you might hear a jump in
level because the level of the
VeA
and the level of the
fader are not the same. The same can occur when a fader
is dropped back out of record into play. To 'prevent this
there is a nulling option which indicates the nulFpoint (i.e.
the point at which the
VeA
and the fader are the same
level).
To use the nulling feature it must be switched' on in'the '
nulling menu.
Two types of nulling are available: manual
and automatic.
Manual
nulling: When a fader is dropped into record the
RED or GREEN LED will flash to show you which way to
move the fader. RED means move the fader up. GREEN
means move the fader down. Move the fader slowly until
the RED LED lights and t~e flashing stops.' This is now
the null point. After recording press the play.:button.
Again the LEDs flash to show you the direction to moVe
the fader. At the null point the GREEN LED will light and
the flashing stops.
.
Automatic
nulling:
Automatic nulling only operates
when you drop a fader out of record and back into play.
To re-record fader moves press
the record button on the required
channels
