IF A PBB1.2S BACKBOX IS REQUIRED:
1.
Locate the PBB1.2S Backbox. Identify conduit and
wire-pass holes. Remove compound knockouts as
required.
2.
Insert the serrated fasteners (provided with the
backbox) into the holes of the support bridge.
3.
Maneuver the backbox behind the support bridge,
and align the holes in the outer flange of the
backbox with the fasteners previously installed in
the support bridge (please see fig. 3). Snap them
together by applying pressure between the
backbox inner flanges and the support bridge.
(please see fig. FIG. 4 and 5)
4.
If not previously done, run speaker wires or
conduit (as per local Building Code requirements)
into the backbox. Fasten and seal as required.
NOTE: A perforated tab is located on top of the
backbox to suspend the assembly from the roof or
other structural point, to support and suspend the
load. It is good safety practice to use this option
even if not required by local or other codes ( see
Figs. 4 and 5).
