1-2. Connection Connector/Cable
Connection made with the connector panels during instal-
lation or service, should made with the connectors or
complete cable assemblies specified in the following list,
or equivalent parts.

Be sure to connect the supplied special antenna to the RF
OUT connector.
Never connect any other antenna or plug to the RF OUT
connector. (Refer to Section 1-17-2.)

1-3. Removing/Reinstalling the Exterior
Parts
Tool : Special screwdriver (T10)
(Sony Part No.: 3-985-911-01)
1.
Loosen the six special screws with stopper using the
special screwdriver (T10), and open the R panel
assembly and L panel assembly.
2.
Disconnect the cord with connector from the transmit-
ter.
3.
Disconnect the coaxial cable from the connector CN7
on the MB-998 board, and remove the L panel assem-
bly.

When disconnecting the coaxial cable, do not attempt
to remove by pulling the cable. Be sure to hold the
plug to remove.
4.
Disconnect the flexible card wire from the connector
CN1 on the SW-1128 board, and remove the R panel
assembly.
n
Be careful not to bend the flexible card wires. This
shortens the wire life.
5.
Reassemble the exterior parts in the reverse order of
removal.
n
When closing each panel assembly, make sure the
harnesses or coaxial cables are not caught between the
chassis and each panel assembly.
