Adjusting the blue lens focus

Reset the centering adjustment data of the blue signal.
For details, see “Resetting the Data” on page 138.

Press the PATTERN key until the H-pattern or ME-pattern is
displayed.

Press the CUT OFF G and R keys to display the blue signal only.

Loosen the B1 screw, slide it so that the letters H at the center of the
screen are in focus, then tighten the screw.
For details, see “Adjusting the green lens focus” on page 81.

Loosen the B2 screw, slide it so that the letters H at all four corners of
the screen are in focus, then tighten the screw.
Repeat steps
4 and 5 until the blue focus adjustment is completed.

Adjusting the blue magnetic focus and AQP/DQP roughly, if necessary
The magnetic focus and AQP/DQP will be adjusted precisely after the lens
focus and scheimpflug adjustments. Adjust the blue magnetic focus and
AQP/DQP roughly at this stage to make the later adjustments easily.

Adjusting the blue scheimpflug
After adjusting the blue lens focus, adjust the blue scheimpflug (angle of
the blue CRT).
Check the tilt of the focal planes at the upper, lower, left and right parts of
the screen, then adjust the focus with the H and V screws on the blue CRT.

After adjusting the blue scheimpflug, readjust the blue lens focus until the
perfect focus is obtained.

After adjusting the lens focus and scheimpflug, adjust the magnetic focus,
AQP (Axis Quadrupole)/DQP (Diagonal Quadrupole) and AHP (Axis
Hexapole)/DHP (Diagonal Hexapole).

Press the CUT OFF R and B keys to display the green signal only.

Press the MG FOCUS key.
The DOT pattern (9

9) appears on the screen, and a square for
adjusting focus is displayed on the center of the screen. The adjustment
mode, adjustment position No., and adjustment items overlap with the
DOT pattern.
