Create a shortcut on the Desktop for the following:

Complete the following tests to check that the CHIPS rack is powered up correctly
and the network connectivity is established.

UPS Tests Procedure Expected Result If Test Fails
Test
Completed
Will the UPS
shutdown the system
if there is a power
cut?
Make sure the UPS is
fully charged and on
load protected mode.
Then disconnect the
power supply to the
UPS.
UPS will begin to
bleep and a
notification will
appear on the TMS
and CineWatch
Servers. After 20
minutes the TMS
and CineWatch
Servers will be
shutdown. Check network
connection from
UPS to switch.
Ping UPS.
Configure the
Netwatch
software on the
TMS and
CineWatch
Servers.
