Locating by elapsed time
–– Time Search
This function lets you use elapsed time as a
guide to find a certain parts of a VIDEO CD
without PBC functions (Ver 1.1) and audio
CDs. “Elapsed time” means the time from the
beginning of the disc. It is not the playing
time of the current track as shown in the
display.
It is especially useful when playing discs that
have only a few track divisions.
This function cannot be used during menu
playback of VIDEO CDs with PBC functions
(Ver 2.0).

Press SPECIAL MENU.

Press 3 to select “3) TIME
SEARCH.”

Press the numerical buttons (1 – 10/
0) on the remote to enter the time (in
minutes) for the section you want.
To enter 10 minutes: Press 1
m

The selected elapsed time appears on the
TV screen.

To stop playback

To use time search with VIDEO
CDs with PBC functions (Ver 2.0)
Stop playback and press PBC OFF/ON on the
remote repeatedly until the AUTO PBC
indicator goes off before step 1.
To use index search with VIDEO
CDs with PBC functions (Ver 2.0)
Stop playback and press PBC OFF/ON on the
remote repeatedly until the AUTO PBC
indicator goes off before step 1.
Note
• Index search can only be used with discs that have
index numbers. Likewise, index search cannot be
used to skip between adjacent tracks.
• If there are no more indexes while playing a
VIDEO CD,
appears on the TV screen and the
player continues playing.
Note
Playback may not start from the exact time you
selected depending on the CD.
