Chapter 2: the Video CD/CD-G/CD Player
Playing Tracks in
Random Order
(shuffle play)
You can play all the tracks on one CD or all
CDs in random order.
This function cannot be used during menu
playback of VIDEO CDs with PBC
functions (Ver 2.0).
Use the buttons on the unit to do this
operation.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until “CD”
appears in the display.

OPEN/CLOSE and place CDs
on the disc tray.
To insert a third disc
Press DISC SKIP (or D.SKIP on the
remote). The disc tray rotates so you can
insert another CD.

Press 1/ALL DISCS repeatedly to
choose whether to play “1 DISC” or
“ALL DISCS”.

are skipped.

Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until
“SHUFFLE” appears in the display.

To stop playing shuffle play
Press

To cancel shuffle play
Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until
“SHUFFLE” and “PROGRAM” disappear
from the display. The tracks continue
playing in their original order.
If you are playing VIDEO CDs with PBC
functions (Ver 2.0), the CD player stops.
To select the desired CD
Press DISC 1 ~ 3 during shuffle play.
To skip an undesired track
Turn the JOG dial clockwise (or press
+
on the remote).

Desired Order
(program play)
You can make a program of up to
32 tracks from all the CDs in the order you
want them to be played.
This function cannot be used during menu
playback of VIDEO CDs with PBC
functions (Ver 2.0).
Use the buttons on both the unit and the
remote to do this operation.

appears in the display.

The disc number appears in the display.

on the remote) to choose a track.
The track number and the total playing
time including the selected track flashes
in the display. (The program is not
entered at this time.)

Press ENTER/NEXT.
The chosen track number lights up in
the music calendar and the STEP
indicator appears in the display. If the
track number disappears before you
press ENTER/NEXT, go back to step 4.
If you program the wrong track.
Press CLEAR, and select another track.

To program additional tracks from the
same CD, repeat steps 5 and 6.
To program additional tracks from
another CD, repeat steps 4 to 6.

All the tracks play in the order you have
chosen.
To cancel program play
Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until
“PROGRAM” and “SHUFFLE” disappear
from the display. The tracks continue
playing in their original order.
If you are playing VIDEO CDs with PBC
functions (Ver 2.0), the CD player stops.
To select a track using the remote
Use the numeric buttons to enter the track
number. Skip step 6.
To enter a track number greater than 10.
Press >10 first, then press the
corresponding numeric buttons.
e.g. For 30, press >10
