You can enjoy karaoke with a stereo-
recorded track, audio file or video file,
even if it is a non-karaoke disc or media,
by reducing the sound of the vocals.
Press KARAOKE PON in Karaoke
Mode.
To cancel Karaoke Pon mode
Press KARAOKE PON again.
Notes
• This function may not work well when
– only a few instruments are playing.
– a duet is playing.
– the vocals on the disc deviate from the
center.
– playing monaural-recorded discs (the
accompaniment is also reduced).
– playing multiplex discs.
– the source has strong echoes or chorus.
– the voice on the source is singing in high
soprano or tenor.
• During Karaoke Pon mode, the stereo effect is
reduced.
• Karaoke Pon mode is automatically canceled
when you
– turn off the system.
– change the function.
– change the disc.
– open the disc tray.
– press AUDIO.
– set “VOCAL SELECT” to other than
“OFF”.
– cancel Karaoke Mode.

When playing a DVD with the Dolby
Digital Karaoke format in Karaoke Mode,
you can turn on or off the guide vocal
recorded in the karaoke track.
When playing a VIDEO CD or AUDIO
CD in Karaoke mode, you can listen to the
vocals.
You can also change the guide vocal
channel. You can select different kinds of
vocals.
