Selecting Transition Types

Selecting the Transition Type and the Next Transition

To select the transition type

Press one of the transition type selection buttons in the M/E transition control
block or the PGM/PST transition control block, lighting the button.

MIX:

The new video overlaps the current video, finally replacing it.

EFF:

A transition using an effect pattern is executed.

(In the PGM/PST bank, this button is [WIPE].)

PST COLOR MIX:

This is a two-stage mix (dissolve), comprising two

transitions. In the first transition, a color matte (non-patterned color signal)
is gradually mixed into the current video. In the second transition, the new
video is gradually mixed into the color matte.
When this is selected, you can use the following procedure to select the
matte color.

To select a color matte for preset color mix

From the top menu, select Misc >Transition.

The Transition menu appears.
