1-3-1 Attaching an Antenna
Attach the GPS antenna (supplied) to the camcorder to receive radio
waves from GPS satellites.
Two types of antennas are supplied with the board, one is an antenna
with a short cable and the other is one with a long cable.
Notes on treating an antenna
• The GPS antenna is a precision instrument. Be careful not to drop it or
not to subject it to severe shock.
• This board is installed in the upper part of the handle of the camcorder.
Do not put a heavy object on the handle.
• Do not pull or bend the antenna cable forcibly.
To attach an antenna
Confirm that the antenna connector is firmly inserted into the board. If
not, it cannot receive GPS radio waves properly.
Insert the connector of the antenna
cable until it clicks so that the
protruding part of the connector fits in
the groove of the antenna terminal of
the board.
