About This Manual

Updating the Software

When you purchase this board, ask a service representative of your
nearest Sony dealer to install the board. The service representative will
install the software which supports the functions necessary to record
both UMID and GPS data.
When an HKDW-704 has not been installed in your unit, you can
confirm whether your camcorder supports the UMID data recording
function by opening the UMID SETUP page used to setup for UMID
data items on the OPERATION menu.
If your camcorder does not have a UMID SETUP page, you must update
the software. Ask you nearest Sony service center for advice

For detailed information on the UMID SETUP page, see “1-7 Menu Setup” on
page 1-23.
