Selects the source for control of this
unit. When two DNW-A25/A25P
units are connected, set this switch on
the player unit to REMOTE.
REMOTE: This unit is controlled
from the device connected to the
REMOTE connector. In this case,
all VTR operations using this
unit’s control panel are disabled
except the STOP and EJECT
buttons.
LOCAL: This unit is controlled
from the control panel. Normally
set the switch to this position.
When the REMOTE is selected, you
can determine which tape transport
control buttons on the control panel
are enabled. See setup menu item 006
on page 6-3.

REC INHI switch
When on, recording to the tape is
inhibited, regardless of the state of the
cassette’s erasure prevention plug.
