Configuring WWAN as Failover
Complete this section if you are using the WWAN wireless connection as a failover for
your primary Internet connection.
If you intend to use the WWAN wireless connection as your primary connection, skip this
section and continue to “Configuring LAN Settings” on page 34.
Selecting WAN Network Mode

Select the correct type of network connection for your network:

The Setup Wizard automatically detects most networking modes. If it does not
detect a networking mode, you may have a static IP address. See “Administrator
Information” on page 6.

establish a connection and assign a dynamic address. PPPoE is
commonly used with DSL modems.
PPTP

if you dial into a specific server and log into a VPN to
establish a connection. With PPTP, you can have either a static or
dynamic IP address.
