Note:
Pay close attention to the orientation of your SIM card when inserting. Follow the
manufacturer’s directions carefully when completing this procedure.

Insert the PC card modem into an available Type II PC card slot on your Windows
PC.

If the Cingular Communications Manager program is running, skip to the next step.
Otherwise, navigate to
Start > Programs > Cingular > Cingular Communications
Manager
to start the Communications Manager program. When the program is
launched, you will see an interface similar to the one below.

Optionally, you may select
Tools > Check for Updates
to see if updates are
available for your card vendor.
Note:
Additional updates, including those for the PC card firmware may be
recommended by Cingular. If so, follow the steps provided to complete these
updates before continuing.

when you are connected

- Use this tab for
WWAN PC card manage-

Connect Button
- Click
here to make a connection
to the current network.
Status
- Shows “ready”

signal strength of your
current connection.
