text files are displayed on the radio display if the radio transmitter and receiver also features RDS
and it is turned on. Such information, for example. the name of the radio station, program type and
radio station ... depending on the device. In addition to display text information generally extra
services are available as well. These are:
•
PS
– program service: briefly displays the station name. Its constantly working with RDS as a
standard feature.
•
AF
– alternative frequency: if the listened programme can be reached in higher quality on another
frequency, the device will switch channels automatically. This is useful for trips because after leaving the
reception area of the same broadcasting station the device will be looking for better quality reception.
•
TP
– radio stations which are displaying TP sign are regularly providing road informations. This
option keeps running during RDS function is switched on.
•
TA
– active TA function permits traffic and road informations to be communicated. In case of
notice, TRAFFIC sign is displayed. When listening to music on an external source, it will stop during
the notice, than it will continue.
•
PTY

stations with special contents e.g. news, classical music, pop music…
•

the icon row below the frequency display on the right edge of the screen. To search for a specific type
of program, briefly press the CLK / PTY button: once (search for music genres) or twice (classical,
prose broadcasts) and then select the desired genre with the rotary knob. Then press the
button
to start the search. The SEEK PTY indicates the start of the search. If pressing the
button again,
it will turn the further program type searching off.

button can turn on or off the alternative frequency service and the traffic informations.
• The machine starts to search for selected PTY programme types automatically. If it can reach any
programme corresponding to the selected setting, the machine will switch the channel.
• NO PTY: no available program type information.
• Occasionally, you may find that certain characters appear incorrectly or not at all. This is mainly
affected by special or accented characters and not the fault of the device.
PLAYBACK FROM USB/SD/ STORAGE
If you wish to listen to music from a USB/SD source instead of listening to the radio, simply
connect the external storage. The unit will detect this and start playback automatically. USB or
SD denomination is visible on the display for a few seconds. In case the MP3 file contains text
information, than the unit will display them.
„ID3 TAG” MP3 TEXT INFORMATION
Beside the elapsed time of track, the number of track, the total number of tracks and name of
including folder, related information of track will be displayed, if they had been recorded, when
the MP3 file was created.
• The display takes place simultaneously with eight characters and automatically alternates. The text
information generally includes the following:
songs number, the time passed since the song
started, the files name, the file type, the song title, the album title, the artists name
.
• Labels will appear only, when the MP3 file contains such ones. These kind of text information can be
associated with given tracks, while the MP3 file is created. If the file doesn’t have such accompanying
information, or not all displayable data is recorded, then they won’t appear on the display.
• Occasionally, you may find that certain characters appear incorrectly or not at all. This is mainly

be affected by the MP3 file creator programme and its settings. If different tracks were created by
