USE
The device is ideal for replacing traditional doorphone systems and door
bells. The appropriate sound and image quality depends on the distance
between the devices and the cross section of the wires used. For the given
length we recommend minimum the following cable cross-sections:
0-25
m: 4x0,5 mm
2
/ 25-50 m: 4x0,75 mm
2
/ 50-75 m: 4x1,0 mm
2
Use a shielded wire between units for trouble-free transmission! When
using an 8-core wire, it is recommended to connect the unnecessary lead
cores in parallel with the wires used, to increase the actual cross-section. To
install the doorphone system, get help from a specialist!
INSTALLATION
Outdoor unit
Weather protection must be provided. Install the outdoor unit in a place
protected against rain and direct sunlight! Sunlight can affect image
quality! Use a special protective cover when needed! The power supply
of the outdoor unit is provided from the monitor. Connect it with the spring
connectors according to the wiring diagram. After installing the rain guard
frame, place the camera on the hanger on the top-inside part of the frame,
then fasten it to the underside of the frame with a short screw (supplied).
Remove the protective film around the lens!
Indoor unit
Depending on the distance between the two units, the connection cable
included in the package may be extended or replaced by a specialist as
described in the “APPLICATION” section. The required wires must be
purchased separately on the basis of individual needs. Lead them so that
they do not get damaged and are protected from weather and physical
impact. Before plugging in the mains adapter, check the correct connection!
HAVING VISITOR
By pressing the outdoor unit’s bell button, the indoor monitor sounds and
the LED below the screen blinks red and blue. The visitor’s image appears
on the monitor.
If you want to talk to him/her, press the TALK (6.) button and the LED
turns blue. The electric lock (option) can be opened with UNLOCK (4.)
or UNLOCK GATE (5.) button to allow the guest access. After ending the
conversation, press again the TALK (6.) button. This ends the call, switches
off the monitor and turns the LED red. The monitor automatically switches
off approx. after 1 minute. If you do not answer the call, the monitor switches
off within a half minute.
OUTLOOK
By pressing OUTLOOK (3.) button in standby mode, you can check the
surroundings of the entrance. By pressing the button again – or after e.g.
30 seconds – it switches off. If you press TALK (6.) button during, you can
talk through the outdoor speaker.
SETTING IMAGE QUALITY
Use the buttons on the right side of the monitor to set the correct image
quality; selecting BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST (9.) and IMAGE SETUP +/-
(10.) The volume control on the bottom of the monitor is used to adjust
the visitor’s voice.
In darkness, in low visibility conditions, the camera automatically switches
to black-white mode because it provides more sensitivity.
DOOR-OPENING FUNCTION
The LOCK + (5.) and LOCK- (6.) connectors on the backside of the outdoor
unit switch the electric lock. The electric lock is not a part of the package.
It must be purchased and installed according to the individual needs and
the design of the door. The lock can be opened from the indoor unit. If
you do not use an external door opener circuit, the power requirement for
the electric lock should not exceed the 12 V DC / 4-500 mA parameters.
To operate a higher-performance lock, an external transformer and relay
must be used, but this is basically recommended in all cases! If you want to
control gate locks besides the door lock, the connectors on the backside of
the monitor should be used.
SETTING RINGTONE
Switch on the monitor with the OUTLOOK (3.) button, then by pressing the
first button under the screen MELODY SELECTOR (2.) select the sound
signal you want to use. You can choose from 16 different melodies. Finally,
use OUTLOOK (3.) button to confirm it. The loudspeaker is located on the
back of the monitor, the ring volume cannot be controlled. The volume
control on the bottom of the monitor serves to adjust the visitor’s volume.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If there is no sound or image, check, that
- whether connection is according to the regulation
- whether there is power supply
- no wire is damaged
If the conversation can be heard quietly or the image quality is poor,
check that
- have used wires of sufficiently large cross-section
- do not exceed the recommended distances
- do not interfere with nearby electrical equipment for operation
CLEANING
Before cleaning, power off the device by unplugging it from the mains! Use
a soft, dry cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners and liquids!
