Cleaning and Care
Parking and Long-Term Storage
Never attempt to charge the 12V battery
while the high-voltage battery is being
charged. Doing so could cause personal injury, and could
damage the vehicle or charging equipment.
It is NOT recommended to leave the
charge cable connected to the vehicle
during long-term storage, as this will lead to faster battery
degradation.
Do not store the vehicle for more than 1
month when the charge level of the
high-voltage battery is above 70% or below 30%.
Storing your SOLO requires certain maintenance procedures
before, during, and after storage in order to maintain battery
health and vehicle performance.
Before entering storage
To prepare your SOLO for storage:
Ensure that the storage environment will protect the
vehicle from ambient temperatures below -4°F (-20°C) or
above 122°F (50°C).
Wash the vehicle and dry it completely.
Wax the vehicle.
Check and adjust the tire pressure on all tires. See
pressures during long-term storage”, page 7-18
.
Ensure that the state of charge of the high-voltage battery
is within the recommended range for the vehicle’s storage
time (see table).
Connect a trickle charger to the 12V battery terminals to
maintain battery health during storage. See
