37.POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
Operate your instrument with the following combinations of power equipment.
• For details about batteries and chargers, refer to each dedicated manual.
• Never use any combination other than those indicated below. If you do, the instrument could be damaged.
Those indicated by * are standard accessories. Others are optional accessories for Low Temperature Models.
• Dedicated power cables differ according to the country or the area where the instrument is used. Contact your
local dealer for the details.
• By using the Y cable (EDC211) the instrument can perform RS232C communication (D-sub 9-pin) at the
same time as connecting to an external power source.
External power supply equipment
• Use an external battery (BDC60A/61A) with the charged standard battery (BDC70) to fulfill the sufficient
operating time and to maintain the balance of the instrument.
• When using the Car cigarette lighter cable (EDC115), leave the car engine running. Use the 12 VDC battery
with the negative side grounded.
• When using the Power cable (EDC213), be sure to stop the car engine before use. Connect the red clip to
the positive side of the 12 VDC battery and the black one to the negative side.
