4.1 Preparing for installation 

4.1.1 Environment conditions 

The switch supports the following installation modes: 

 

Guide-rail installation 

 

Wall-mounting installation 

 

Before installing the SNR-S212i-8POE, ensure that the environment where the SNR-
S212i-8POE is to be installed complies with environment requirements. For details, 
see section 3.4 Environmental standards. 

4.1.2 Power supply conditions 

Table 4-1 lists power supply requirements for operation of the SNR-S212i-8POE.
