System Settings
To enter the and adjust the systems settings press the SETTINGS button.
Please note
Press on the tab to view or change setting on the device

SCREEN

START MENU
You can chose how the 8 Series starts when it is powered On.
NAVI
When the device is switched on the unit will automatically start in
navigation
mode
MAIN MENU
When the unit is switched on the Home menu will be displayed, you
can then select the function you want to use.
LAST USED
When the unit is switched On it will start in the mode as it was
switched off in. E.G. If you choose LAST MODE and you were listening
to DAB then you switched the unit off , when you switch the unit back
On the unit will start in DAB mode.

PARKING LINE
This will overlay parking guidance lines on the LCD screen
NOTE: this is only applicable when when a reversing camera (not supplied) is connected to the 8 Series unit
*see page 14 for details on connecting a reversing camera
POWER CONTROL
A
Controls the time the LCD backight will remain on before automatically switching off. If you set to Always, the LCD will not
automatically turn off. Please touch the screen to turn the LCD screen on again when it is turned off.
B
Sets the time when the power will be automatically turned off if you are running the device using the built-in batter y only.
If you select Always the device will not power off automatically.
C
Sets the time when the power will be automatically turned off if you are running the
device using an AC power source or cigarette lighter adapter.

CALIBRATION
Use this function to re-calibrate the touch screen.
Follow the on- screen instructions to re-calibrate the screen

RESET this resets the screen settings back to the factory default.

Exit this exits the system setting page
