Maintenance Tips

The SMCCO10-Z is designed for a long
service life of 10-years. Although the
Touchscreen might indicate when to
service the SMCCO10-Z, several checks
are recommended.

Weekly - CO Alarm Test.

Annual - CO Alarm Functional Gas
Test.

Random - visual check for green
Power LED flashing every 30 seconds
and for wireless signal strength.

Touchscreen indications are Trouble and
Low Battery.

Trouble - SMCCO10-Z has an internal
fault requiring technical service.

Low Battery - batteries must be
replaced for proper operation.

General Tips

Vacuum the SMCCO10-Z cover each
month to remove accumulated dust.

Never use detergents or solvents to
clean the SMCCO10-Z. They can
permanently damage or temporarily
contaminate the sensor.

Avoid spraying air fresheners, hair
spray, paint, or other aerosols near
the product.

Do not paint the SMCCO10-Z. Paint
will seal the vents and interfere
with proper sensor operation.

Move the SMCCO10-Z to a remote
location to prevent possible damage
or contamination prior to:

Staining or stripping floors or
furniture, painting or wall-papering.

Using aerosols or adhesives.

WARNING:

 Reinstall the SMCCO10-Z as

soon as possible for continuous
protection.
