Notes on child restraint systems on the front passenger seat

If circumstances require you to fit a child restraint system to the front passenger seat, be
sure to observe the notes on child restraint systems on the front passenger seat
Observe the specific notes on rearward-facing and forward-facing child restraint sys-
tems. If the front passenger seat is occupied, make sure that the status of the front
passenger front airbag is correct depending on the situation both before and during the
journey.

passenger front airbag deactivation sys-
tem. The PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF indi-
cator lamp must be lit.

Attaching a child restraint system with
the seat belt to the rear seat
When fitting a belt-secured child restraint
system, observe the following:

Be sure to observe the installation and
operating instructions provided by the
manufacturer for the child restraint
system being used.

When using a "Universal" or "Semi-Uni-
versal" category child restraint system,
ensure that it is approved for the vehicle
seat.
Observe the notes under "Suitability of
seats for securing belt-secured child
restraint systems" (

When using a category 0/0+ baby car seat
and a category I, rearward-facing child
restraint system on a rear seat:
adjust
the front seat so that the seat does not
touch the child restraint system.

The backrest of a forward-facing child
restraint system must, as far as possible,
rest flat against the backrest of the rear
seat.
O
For certain child restraint systems in
weight category II or III, there may be
