4. Miscellaneous
In this section you will find lots of useful and helpful information, entertaining games and plenty of
ways to keep your satellite receiver updated.
4.1 Information
In this section you will find information about the satellite, the connected LNB, details about the
current channel, the receiver's software status, signal strength and quality. This overview is very
helpful if you need to get in touch with our telephone hotline.
Satellite
Displays the name of the satellite.
LNB-Freq.
With a regular digital LNB the lower and upper LNB frequencies have to be set at 9750 and
10600 MHz.
TP-Freq.
Displays the transmission frequency of the selected transponder, on which the current channel
is located. The usual readings here are between 10700 and 12750 MHz.
Symbol rate
The symbol rates of the most common satellite transponders are almost all at 27500 or 22000.
Polarisation
Displays the polarisation level H (horizontal) or V (vertical).
DiSEqC
Displays the DiSEqC status. The DiSEqC control signals serve to switch between DiSEqC
switches, in order to receive several satellite positions, for example.
Signal strength
The signal strength display shows the complete range of the input signal.
Signal quality
The signal quality is absolutely crucial for trouble-free reception. Align the antenna so that the
signal strength and signal quality always reach the maximum level.
PID
Video PID
Several channels are normally transmitted
Audio PID
in parallel via a transponder. In order for the
PCR PID
receiver to be able to sort all the data properly,
Text PID
each channel has its own address for picture,
Sub PID
sound, data, Teletext and subtitles.
Version
Displays the loaded software version.
