7. The OSD Menu – Miscellaneous

4.4 Default
The factory default setting lets you reset the unit to the factory default settings. Caution: All the
settings you have changed and channels stored since first operating it are reset, i.e. deleted.

4.5 Software update
You can update the receiver's software as required via satellite through ASTRA 19.2 East or the
serial port of the receiver and your PC.

4.5.1 Update via RS232
The unit has a serial port (RS232), which you can use to load new software. You can download the
software from www.skymaster.de. Please note the instructions you receive with the software. If
your antenna is aligned to ASTRA 19.2° East, it is better to update the software via satellite.

4.5.2 Update via satellite
The latest software is available at regular intervals via satellite: ASTRA (19.2° East). Check to see if
new software is available by using the [Up/Down] buttons to go to “Start” and press [OK]. The
search and loading process may take several minutes.
